Iran offers US deal to reopen Strait of Hormuz in seven days

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced that Iran has proposed a deal to the US to reopen the Strait of Hormuz within a week, contingent on certain conditions outlined in a memorandum of understanding signed in June. He stated that if these conditions are met, maritime traffic could be restored within seven days, with the decision now resting with the United States. The June MOU aimed to establish a ceasefire and partially reopen the strait, but it collapsed shortly after as both sides resumed hostilities.
