Govt to Fully Enforce eGP System from July, Mbadi Confirms

Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi confirmed that the electronic Government Procurement (eGP) system will be fully enforced starting July 2026, with no exemptions. This system aims to manage procurement processes across government institutions and enhance transparency. Mbadi highlighted that public funds are often lost due to inflated costs in procurement. He also noted that the government needs to rationalize development expenditure by reviewing non-viable projects.
