Babachir Lawal defends “Kachalla” posts, rejects allegations, criticises attacks

Babachir Lawal, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, defended his recent Facebook comments, insisting they were misunderstood and misrepresented by critics. He reiterated that past allegations against him were politically motivated and noted that he was discharged by the court after legal proceedings. Lawal also criticized supporters of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar for personal attacks and highlighted the silence of political actors on insecurity and violence in parts of the country.
