Gov Idris sacks AFUSTA VC, dissolves Governing Council

Governor Nasir Idris has approved the dissolution of the Governing Council of Abdullahi Fodio University of Science and Technology Aliero (AFUSTA) and removed the Vice Chancellor along with other top officials. This decision followed recommendations from a Visitation Panel set up to review the university's affairs. Samaila Arzika Mungadi has been appointed as Sole Administrator to stabilize the university's governance structure. The decision took effect on April 30, 2026.
