Even INEC admonishes the media?

Successive governments, including democrats, have continued to restrict press freedom, as evidenced by the 2020 arrest of a journalist by a local official. This trend of harassing the media indicates a desire to evade accountability and transparency. Despite this, the media has a duty to expose wrongdoing and is often supported by opposition politicians.
