The Government takes measures to stabilize cocoa prices

In response to the decline in cocoa prices on the international market, the Congolese government has adopted an action plan to stabilize the sector. This plan, led by Minister of Foreign Trade Julien Paluku, includes fiscal measures, the revival of agricultural production, and local cocoa processing. Additionally, preparatory consultations for the third review of the DRC's trade policy with the WTO will take place in Kinshasa from May 11 to 15, 2026.
