The commune of Marcory celebrated the return of its 2026 Hajj pilgrims on July 11, 2026, at the Madinan Mosque in Marcory-Remblais. Municipal councilor El Hadj Dramane Diabaté, representing the absent Mayor Raoul Aby, reaffirmed the municipality's commitment to peace, fraternity, and social cohesion through the 'Marcory supports religious denominations' program. The ceremony saw strong mobilization of municipal authorities, religious leaders, and Muslim faithful.

Jazmin Kaur, 22, who was diagnosed with anorexia at age 13, testified that online content worsened her condition.
