Nigeria: three soldiers killed in jihadist attack on military base

Islamic State-affiliated jihadist fighters killed three soldiers on Wednesday in northeastern Nigeria in an attack on a military base in Gajiganna, 50 km from Maiduguri. The jihadists stormed the base, seized weapons, and set it on fire after a heavy exchange of gunfire. The attack, confirmed by Ibrahim Liman of an anti-jihadist militia, is the first since the death of a jihadist leader.
