Oyo govt issues flood, heatwave warning to residents

The Oyo State Government has issued a public advisory urging residents to take precautionary measures as the 2026 rainy season begins. Commissioner for Environment, Mr. Ademola Aderinto, warned of potential flash floods and thunderstorms due to heavy rainfall. He also advised residents to stay hydrated and avoid prolonged sun exposure, as heat waves may occur with temperatures rising to 35°C.
