Police storm kidnappers’ hideout, arrest 16 suspects, recover 98 rounds of ammunition in Kwara

The Kwara State Police arrested 16 suspects and recovered firearms and ammunition during coordinated operations in April 2026. Items seized included 98 rounds of ammunition, locally fabricated firearms, and a Toyota Matrix vehicle. In a related operation, one bandit was neutralized during a rescue mission at Apata Aje, where two residents had been abducted. Police Commissioner Ojo Adekimi reaffirmed the commitment to dismantling criminal networks.
