A one-year-old child, Kohen Kartier Wiley, was killed on Sunday, June 14, in Senatobia, Mississippi, after a police officer fired into the vehicle he was in with his mother and aunt. The intervention followed a report of alleged shoplifting at a Walmart. Police claim the driver nearly hit an officer, but witnesses and relatives question the circumstances of the shooting. The investigation has been handed over to the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation.
