Antimicrobial resistance: Ivory Coast prepares its new strategic plan 2026-2030

Since July 13, 2026, about twenty experts from human, animal, and environmental health have gathered in Yamoussoukro for a situation analysis workshop to lay the groundwork for the future National Action Plan against antimicrobial resistance (AMR) for 2026-2030. Organized with technical and financial support from the EpiC/FHI 360 project funded by the U.S. State Department, the workshop is supervised by the Technical Working Group on AMR. Dr. Adjé Clément emphasized that AMR is a serious threat to health systems. Moderator Dr. Diane Maxime noted that this meeting is part of the continuity of actions carried out between 2023 and 2026.
