Between January and August 2026, 2,222 civilians were killed and 13,058 injured in Ukraine, surpassing the total for 2025. August recorded 372 deaths and 2,349 injuries, with Kiev, Kherson, Kryvyi Rih, and Zaporijjia among the most affected regions. Long-range strikes accounted for 47% of the casualties, while attacks targeting civilian businesses also increased.
