President Bola Tinubu claimed that Nigeria's fuel price is better than Kenya's and other African countries during his speech in Yenagoa. He acknowledged the economic challenges facing Nigerians, particularly the rising fuel costs, but emphasized that the country is faring better than others. As of April 2026, fuel price in Kenya stood at $1.37 per litre, while in Nigeria, it ranged between N1,290 and N1,350 per litre.
