Mbadi Confirms Funding for KBC to Broadcast 2026 FIFA World Cup - Kenyans.co.ke

Kenya's Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi confirmed on June 4 that the government has approved funding for KBC to broadcast the 2026 FIFA World Cup on free-to-air TV. Mbadi said he spoke to KBC MD Kaleche, who is finalizing arrangements. The cost is estimated at Ksh150 million for the rights. The tournament starts June 11.
