First Ebola patient cured leaves treatment center in Butembo

A man has recovered from Ebola virus disease in Butembo, North Kivu province. He left the Ngothe Ebola Treatment Center on Monday, June 8. The patient contracted the virus during a stay in Bunia, Ituri. Upon discharge, medical authorities gave him a clearance certificate and recommended post-recovery medical follow-up and community awareness participation.
