Consumption of jet fuel dips for the first time in six years

Jet fuel consumption dropped by six percent to 862.45 million liters in the year ending June 2026, marking the first decline in six years. This drop occurred as the US-Iran war triggered airspace closures in the Middle East, impacting traffic at JKIA and Moi International Airport. In contrast, consumption of diesel, petrol, and kerosene increased despite record-high prices, with diesel rising by 11.7% and petrol by 10.2%.
