Ihonvbere, House of Reps Majority Leader loses return bid

Professor Julius Ihonvbere, the Majority Leader of the House of Representatives, lost his bid for re-election in the APC primary for the Owan Federal Constituency. Hon Andrew Ijegbai, a former Commissioner for Mining, won the election with 3,695 votes, while Ihonvbere received 1,005 votes. A total of 7,587 votes were cast in this primary election.
