Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja had earlier said the developer built the building without county approval. The ODPP made the revelation on October 26, 2026.

Military clarifies encounter between troops and police in Plateau

The Special Task Force Operation Enduring Peace (JTF-OPEP) says an encounter between its troops and police in Bassa, Plateau State, was wrongly described as a clash. Its spokesperson, Capt. Polycarp Oteh, said troops responded on Oct. 20 to a distress call reporting gunfire in Mai Farin Moto, Maraban Dere and nearby communities, as well as the suspected killing of Adamu Suleiman.
