Performing Arts: Professionals Advocate for a Concerted and Protective Revision of Decree No. 0750

On September 4, 2026, the Collective of federations, associations, artists, and entrepreneurs of the performing arts in Côte d'Ivoire held a public meeting to discuss the revision of Decree No. 0750/MCF/CAB. Mme Chantal Djédjé, the spokesperson for the collective, emphasized the need to professionalize the sector while calling for dialogue for equitable regulation. The stakeholders believe the current decree does not adequately consider the diversity of disciplines and economic models, and they are requesting inclusive consultation to adapt certain contested provisions.
