SEGUN ODEGBAMI: In sport, winning is NOT always about coming first!

Segun Odegbami joined IICC Shooting Stars FC of Ibadan in 1974 while studying Mechanical Engineering. In 1976, he played a key role in his club's victory in the Nigerian National League and the Africa Cup-Winners Cup. The team, which included several players from the Nigerian national team, won its first continental trophy with an aggregate score of 4-2 against Tonnerre Kalala FC. In 1977, IICC FC had the option to defend its title or participate in another competition, ultimately choosing to defend the Cup-Winners Cup.
