Platini sues Infantino and seeks compensation from FIFA for his 2015 ouster

Michel Platini filed a complaint against Gianni Infantino for slanderous denunciation and influence peddling, as well as against two former FIFA officials. By filing a civil suit, he automatically triggers the appointment of an investigating judge. Separately, he initiates civil proceedings against FIFA to seek compensation for damages related to his exclusion from the 2015 FIFA presidential race. This follows his final acquittal by the Swiss Federal Tribunal in August 2025.
