The African Development Bank Group approved a €40 million facility, worth about CFAF 26.2 billion, for AFG Bank Cameroon on October 21, 2026. It includes a €30 million credit line with a three-and-a-half-year term and a three-year grace period, as well as a €10 million guarantee facility lasting five years. The guarantee can cover up to 100% of the risk on certain trade-finance transactions and help foreign banks confirm letters of credit issued by AFG Bank Cameroon. The support is intended to expand the bank’s financing for companies involved in international trade.
