We'll never surrender to terrorists, bandits —Tinubu vows

President Bola Tinubu vowed never to surrender to terrorism or banditry, and promised to intensify efforts to reduce economic hardship. He spoke through Secretary to the Government of the Federation George Akume at a National Inter-Denominational Church Service in Abuja for Democracy Day 2026. He acknowledged the economic strain, insecurity, and kidnappings, declaring that the government will not succumb to criminal intimidation. The service was attended by Senate President Godswill Akpabio and other officials.
