Lebanon returned 37 artefacts to Egypt that were smuggled out six years ago. The handover ceremony took place at the National Museum of Beirut, attended by Lebanon's Culture Minister Ghassan Salame and Egypt's Ambassador to Lebanon Alaa Moussa. The artefacts, including masks and statues, were seized from the Port of Beirut in 2020 after an investigation into their identity and ownership.
