Iran war: How US consumers spent an additional $100bn on fuel

Since the start of the US-Israel war on Iran on February 28, US consumers have spent an additional $100 billion on petrol and diesel, averaging about $763 per household. The price of petrol has risen by 39% to $4.15 per gallon, while diesel has increased by over 60%. California has the highest average petrol price in the country at $5.85 per gallon.
