West African INTERPOL Chiefs meet in Abuja, seek stronger crime-fighting cooperation

Heads of INTERPOL National Central Bureaus from 16 West African countries met in Abuja for the 11th meeting, calling for stronger regional cooperation against transnational crime. Nigerian IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu urged collaboration to combat human trafficking, arms smuggling, cybercrime, and terrorism financing. He highlighted expanded access to INTERPOL's I-24/7 network and the West African Police Information System (WAPIS) as key tools.
