Morocco, Algeria: Why Nigeria Stops Funding Scholarships

The Nigerian government announced the end of public funding for 150 students in Morocco due to the disproportionate cost of 650 million naira for one year of scholarships. Education Minister Tunji Alausa criticized the program's inefficiency, noting that the subjects studied did not match the chosen destinations. Resources will be redirected to Nigerian universities, which can now accommodate more students. Students already enrolled will continue to benefit from the program until graduation.
