Nigeria: nationals returning after fleeing xenophobia in South Africa

A first group of over 260 Nigerians repatriated from South Africa landed in Lagos on Thursday, following an escalation of anti-immigrant attacks. Gangs armed with sticks and whips have paraded demanding that undocumented persons leave by June 30. Ghana, Mozambique, and Malawi have already repatriated hundreds of their nationals. South Africa, one of Africa's largest economies, is experiencing a wave of xenophobic violence.
