Ituri: 17 new Ebola cases confirmed in Niania

Seventeen new cases of Ebola virus disease have been confirmed in the Niania health zone, Mambasa territory, Ituri, according to health director Joseph Pemanakue. The cases were identified from twenty samples collected since June 20, but analysis was delayed by two weeks due to lack of transport to the Bunia laboratory. Dr. Pemanakue urges residents to follow barrier measures and seek medical care immediately if symptoms such as fever, headache, diarrhea, or vomiting appear.
