Rayners gives Cardoso a timely boost as Sundowns march on in the Carling Knockout Cup

Mamelodi Sundowns beat Golden Arrows 1-0 at Loftus Versfeld on Tuesday night to become the first team through to the Carling Knockout Cup semi-finals. Iqraam Rayners headed in the only goal from an Antonio Van Wyk cross with 20 minutes remaining. The win eases pressure on coach Miguel Cardoso, whose side failed to qualify for the CAF Champions League group stage.
