Student Visa: The UK Raises Required Resources for the Third Time

Starting November 30, 2026, foreign students applying for a UK visa will need to demonstrate monthly resources of £1,570 in London and £1,203 elsewhere. This requirement, which adds to tuition fees, has been justified by the UK government to align with maintenance loans for domestic students. This marks the third increase in two years, with an annual indexing mechanism established at the end of 2025.
