Former student charged after University of Surrey crossbow attack

Almunthir Daqamah, 21, a former student at the University of Surrey, has been charged with attempted murder after shooting a security officer with a crossbow on campus. He also faces charges of possession of an offensive weapon, two counts of possession of a bladed article, and possession of Class B drugs. The victim, a campus safety officer in his 50s, remains in stable condition in hospital. Daqamah has been remanded in custody to appear at Guildford Magistrates' Court.

MURIC advised governments to prepare vigilante groups as first responders and recruit more personnel into Amotekun for effectiveness, citing Quranic verses to encourage confrontation with bandits.
