Nigeria reaffirms support for WTO, multilateralism at BRICS summit

The Nigerian government reaffirmed its commitment to the WTO and the multilateral trading system, stating that a country's prosperity is linked to its connection with the global community. Vice President Kashim Shettima met with WTO Director-General Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala during the BRICS Leaders' Summit in New Delhi, India. He also emphasized the importance of migration as a driver of development and praised the contributions of the Nigerian diaspora to education and the economy.
