KRA Announces Installment Payments Under 2026 Tax Amnesty

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announced that taxpayers can now pay their principal taxes in installments through the Automatic Payment Plan (APP) on the iTax portal to qualify for the 2026 tax amnesty. The full balance must be paid by December 31, 2026, to have penalties and interest waived. Those who fail to pay in full by the deadline may not qualify for the waiver, but if paid in full before the date, penalties and interest will be automatically waived. The amnesty also covers debts dating back to before January 2026, with full waiver of penalties and interest if settled during the period.
