How the Blitzboks defied the odds to rule World Sevens rugby

The Blitzboks won the SVNS World Championship for a second successive season and, for the first time, also claimed the SVNS Series title in the same year. Under their head coach (once a player and captain), they overcame funding and resource challenges compared to South African franchise teams. Instead of relying on franchise players, they invested in developing their own talents from Junior Springbok structures, schools rugby, and the Varsity Cup.
