Benin: Odem Requests Haac to Clean Up the Media Sector

The High Authority for Audiovisual and Communication (Haac) and the Observatory of Ethics and Deontology in the Media (Odem) agreed to strengthen their cooperation to clean up the media sector during a meeting on September 15, 2026. Tanguy Agoï, president of Odem, presented the priorities of its 10th mandate, focusing on improving media credibility and strengthening the institution's authority. Discussions also addressed the challenges posed by the digitization of information and the need to adapt regulatory mechanisms.
