Education: Zamfara gov't screens 242 private schools

The Zamfara government has certified 123 private schools after testing 242 for compliance with minimum teaching standards. Hajiya Kulu Na’ala, Chairperson of the Committee for Enforcement of Minimum Standards, stated that 119 schools were rated fair or poor. The committee also recovered 23 million naira in tax liabilities and trained proprietors on the use of electronic payment channels.
