Community resistance in Ituri is disrupting the fight against Ebola, with refusals of isolation and post-mortem sampling being prevented. Between August 30 and September 4, 42 bodies could not be sampled, complicating the identification of individuals exposed to the virus. Security incidents have also been reported, including an escape of a body from a treatment center in North Kivu.
