Police, EFCC rescue 14 kidnapped victims from Calabar–Oron waterways

The police, in collaboration with the EFCC, successfully rescued fourteen victims abducted by sea pirates along the Calabar–Oron waterways. According to Police Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placid, the operation was carried out through sustained intelligence efforts and inter-agency collaboration. The rescued victims are currently undergoing medical evaluation and debriefing before being reunited with their families. Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, commended the joint security team for this success as a testament to effective collaboration.
