Kidnapping in Mali: Lawyer Me Mountaga Tall Missing After Violent Arrest

Malian lawyer and politician Me Mountaga Tall was kidnapped on Saturday night in Bamako by masked men, according to his family. A critic of the ruling junta, he was a member of the M5 movement that helped bring down former president Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta. His wife was assaulted during the kidnapping, and a complaint has been filed for abduction. Me Tall also represents several military personnel arrested by the junta for attempting to destabilize the institutions.
