The US-based policy advisory and lobbying firm Von Batten-Montague-York claimed that efforts by the Nigerian Presidency to secure US President Donald Trump's support for President Bola Tinubu's re-election have failed. The firm accused Tinubu's special advisers of being unhappy with its role in undermining their reported $9 million lobbying campaign. It reiterated that Tinubu's planned meeting with Trump on the sidelines of the UN gathering would no longer take place.
