UK diesel price hits all-time high

Diesel prices in the UK have reached an all-time high of 199.18p per litre, according to RAC, driven by ongoing Middle East conflicts that push fuel costs higher. Petrol prices are also rising, now at 174.13p per litre. The seven-month Iran war has severely disrupted wholesale oil production and transportation, causing fuel prices to surge. This increase raises the cost of filling an average family car with diesel to £110, which is £31 more than at the start of the conflict, and is expected to lead to higher prices for goods and services reliant on diesel vehicles.
