Protest as court remands Hammed Tajudeen for another 10 days

A Lagos court has ordered the remand of Hammed Tajudeen Akanbi, popularly known as Hammed Ajiran, for another 10 days after the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) failed to provide its legal advice as directed. He was arraigned on May 22, 2026 on charges including conspiracy to murder, membership of an unlawful society, and other offenses, to which he pleaded not guilty. The bail application was declined due to new evidence. Supporters protested at the court premises demanding his release.
