Zelenskyy Urges Kenya to Stop Recruitment of Citizens Into Russia War in UNGA Address

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged Kenya and 46 other countries to protect their citizens from being recruited by Russia to fight in Ukraine. Speaking at the 81st UN General Assembly, he stated that Russia was using citizens from 47 countries, including Kenya, Sudan, India, Cuba, and Belarus, in its military operations. Zelensky called on these nations to take action to prevent their nationals from being sent to the front and to limit Russia's ability to fund its war effort. He also mentioned that Ukraine had received requests for the return of captured citizens and that some foreigners had been recruited deceptively to fight in Ukraine.
