Syria: World Bank Approves USD225 Million to Restore Water and Health Services

The World Bank approved a financing package of USD225 million to support Syria in enhancing public services in the water and health sectors. The funding aims to benefit approximately 4.5 million Syrians by ensuring reliable access to water and quality health services. Fourteen years of conflict have severely damaged water infrastructure and weakened the health sector, leading to significant challenges in service delivery.
