Middle East War: French Military Bill Exceeds One Billion €

French military operations in the Middle East have incurred an additional cost of over one billion euros since February 28, 2026, according to Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu. This amount covers only operational expenses, while the total cost for public finances is estimated at at least six billion euros. The government announced a six billion euro savings plan to address these unforeseen expenses, and a revision of the Military Programming Law is underway.
