NELFUND nursing funding rises to N1.08bn

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed over N1.08 billion to 5,381 students studying nursing and midwifery across 21 institutions. This funding has significantly increased over three academic sessions, rising from N59.4 million in 2023/2024 to N811.9 million in 2025/2026. NELFUND's Managing Director, Akintunde Sawyerr, emphasized the importance of this investment for national development and reducing financial barriers for students.
