Anambra NMA threatens to down tools over doctor’s abduction

The Nigeria Medical Association (NMA) in Anambra has threatened to down tools if Dr. Edwin Emegakor, abducted on May 7, is not freed within 48 hours. The communiqué, signed by the NMA chairman and secretary, calls on the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue the doctor. Emegakor, the medical director of Crown Multi-Specialist Hospital in Nkpor, was abducted by unidentified men in uniform after attending to his patients.
