High-speed Internet: ITU and ARTCI Strengthen Skills in Digital Mapping

ITU and ARTCI held a training session from September 21 to 25, 2026, in Abidjan to enhance GIS and data management skills among experts and regulators from Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, and Burundi. Participants deepened their knowledge of tools like QGIS, PostgreSQL-PostGIS, and GeoServer to improve mapping of internet infrastructure and guide investments. This initiative is part of the Africa-BB-Maps project, funded by the European Union, aimed at better planning of high-speed networks in West Africa.
